March 2007 - Goldfield continues to improve support for customers.
Goldfield is constantly improving the support we offer to customers, making pro-active maintanance a proirity and reducing response times where possible.
We have introduced a 24/7 monitoring system for servers, which informs us of any problems or issues which may be critical to the running of the system. It also provides reports allowing us to give customer feedback on any potential problems that may arise.This service is included in our current maintainance packages, but is also offered as a seperate product.
February 2007 - Goldfield cable new site for JCS Leisure.
Acting on behalf of Logical Telecom, Goldfield installed a 6-point network in a new portacabin for JCS Leisure at there site near Elsham, North Lincs.
February 2007 - Goldfield back at Doncaster Races!
Acting on behalf of Logical Telecom, Goldfield return to Doncaster Race Course to further extend the IT/Telecoms network in the administration building.
February 2007 - Goldfield's 4th year supporting The Mypec Shows.
For a fourth year Goldfield are preparing for the shows run by Mypec Ltd. We provide a mobile, 23 user IT-network infrastructure for the shows, which are located at 4 different venues across Yorkshire (Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, York) between March and May 2007. January 2007 - Microsoft's Windows Vista is Launched..
Microsoft officially launch the new operating system Windows Vista along with the new version of Office, 2007. Although this has been available to us for the past few months it is now on sale to the public. There are several version of the all new operating system, 5 in total. Goldfield will be supplying the business version at some point in the future once we are happy that it is fully compatable with other software pacakges such as Sage, etc. For more information on the new Vista Operating System click here.
January 2007 - Goldfield Become Preferred Cabling Partner for Logical Telecom..
Goldfiield have been selcted as the preferred cabling company by Logical Telecom(link). Logical Telecom are a Leeds based company who offer telecom solutions for businesses.
January 2007 - Goldfield wins cabling contract with Heat.
Goldfiield have secured a contract with Heat(Link) of Leeds to install a new 48 point network infrastructure into the offices at Sayes Domestic Services in Morley. The new network was installed alongside the current network, allowing the day to day running of the business to continue. The 5 day installation was completed in time for the change over to the new systems.

December 2006 - Goldfield wins 2 further networking jobs from Logical Telecom.
Goldfiield have secured 2 more cabling jobs through Logical Telecom. Both jobs were completed with excellent feedback from the customers.

November 2006 - Goldfield deploy a point to point wireless link at Pecan Deluxe Candy.
Goldfiield installed a wireless Bridging Kit, using 5ghz/19Dbi clear line of site antenna. This gives a near constant 50Mbps network connection between 2 buildings.
November 2006 - Goldfield wins networking job at A1 ElectroServe.
Goldfiield, again acting on behalf of Logical telecom, expanded the current network at A1 Electroserve of Leeds. We added an additional 34 Telcom/Network points throughout the building to assist the expansion of the companies sales force.
October 2006 - Goldfield wins networking job at Doncaster Race Course.
Goldfiield, acting on behalf of Logical telecom, extended the current network infrastructure at Doncaster Race Course to help house growing staff numbers.
July 2006 - Goldfield becomes an 'associate member' with Intel’s channel partner program.
As an Intel product Integrator(IPI) for the past 2 years, Goldfield have now become an associate member. s outlines our continued commitment in providing a high level of service and support on all Intel equipment.
June 2006 - Mypec contract completed for 2006.
Goldfield has successfully fulfilled this year’s contract with Mypec.
For a 3rd year running we have provided a seamless service from start to finish, exceeding the expectations of our client.
May 2006 - Goldfield continues on Microsoft Partner Programme.
Being a 'Registered Partner' gives Goldfield access to internal use software and keeps us up-to-date on future Microsoft technologies. We can also take advantage of enhanced support services and training programs.
May 2006 - Goldfield becomes GFI Reseller.
Goldfield have become a reseller for GFI Software. GFI are a leading developer of network security, content security and messaging software. Several customers have already taken advantage of the 'Mail Security' software which, amongst other things removes excessive spam mail received. We will be offering this software over the next few months once we have finished testing and training.

May 2006 - Microsoft Windows Vista & Office 2007 beta testing starts.
Goldfield has started beta testing Microsoft’s new operating system Vista and the new Office 2007 suites. Due for launch early next year it gives us a chance to learn the new features and test the hardware it will work with. We can also report any problems/bugs we encounter!

June 2005 – Goldfield completes Mypec tender.
We complete the Mypec tender, trouble-free and with praise from all involved, including the show organisers.
April 2005 - Goldfield becomes partner for Backup Technology.
We have teamed up with Backup Technology to offer customers an affordable and reliable off-site data backup service.
March 2005 - Goldfield prepares for The Mypec Shows.
The success of 2004 means we will again be providing a mobile, 23 user IT-network infrastructure. The shows are located at 4 different venues across Yorkshire (Leeds, York, Sheffield and Hull) during spring/summer 2005. The network provided includes server, workstations, broadband internet access and network laser printers.

October 2004 - Goldfield contract with Redwoods/Dowling Kerr completed.
The cabling contract has been completed within the scheduled time scale. The quality of the installation was praised by everyone involved including BT engineers, who installed the telecoms system.
September 2004 - Goldfield wins contract to cable new 2 storey building for Redwoods/Dowling Kerr.
Established estate agents Redwoods/Dowling Kerr of Holmfirth have confirmed Goldfield as the Data/Comms cable installation company for the purpose built offices in Honley, Huddersfield.
The project requires Goldfield to install a 240 point network over 2 floors, with a central floor standing cabinet for both Data and telecoms. They have recently been taken over by a large PLC, and had outgrown the current offices in Holmfirth.
September 2004 - Goldfield welcomes onboard our fourth engineer, Mark.
Mark's background working with larger PLC companies has given him a wealth of experience and qualifications, including Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), HP Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) and Microsoft Certified Systems engineer (MSCE). He will be joining our on-site support team.
August 2004 – Goldfield offers additional services.
We have expanded our portfolio of services, and now offer the following:
Laptops:- Repairs and upgrades to all makes of laptops. From memory/hard drive upgrades to replacing damaged screens, components and keyboards.
Printers:- All types of printers, from small inkjets to large format lasers. Service kits and upgrades are also available.
June 2004 - Goldfield completes the job for Mypec.
The 4 shows organised by Mypec finish with praise for Goldfield’s trouble free installation and support.
May 2004 - Goldfield joins the Microsoft Partner Program.
This gives Goldfield vital support and training from Microsoft, which means our engineers are kept up to date with all the current Microsoft packages. We also get to trial and Beta test all software packages before they are launched.
April 2004 - Goldfield becomes an Intel Product Integrator (IPI).
In an effort to continue offering high quality computers/components we have become an Intel Product Integrator. This commitment means we can offer customers a higher level of support on all the Intel products we sell, which includes advanced replacements on motherboards and CPU’s we have supplied. We also get to know about all new products before they are launched and are kept up to date with the latest technology with training and 24/7 support.
January 2004 - Goldfield wins a 2 year tender to supply, Install & support a mobile IT network.
Mypec, a very well established event organisation company have selected Goldfield to provide a mobile 23 user IT-network.
Covering 4 different venues (Leeds, York, Sheffield and Hull) during spring/summer 2004, the network includes a server, workstations with internet access and network laser printers. We will also be providing on-site support for the events

To offer customers a broader range of recovery options we have joined Kroll Ontrack’s Partner Program. This opens up a higher level of service we cannot offer from software recovery alone.
